Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: IMC Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years required License: Active SC or multistate license Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Experience in neuro stepdown and cardiac telemetry. Experience with IV starts, port access, PICC, central and peripheral line care, and blood product administration. Competent in respiratory care including trach management, oxygen delivery, chest tubes, ABG interpretation, and non-invasive support. Knowledge in GI care and medication management. Ability to perform cardiovascular care, including post MI and dysrhythmia management. Experience in wound care, isolation precautions, renal failure, and rapid response team use. Description: This position involves working as a Registered Nurse in an IMC setting. The role requires experience in handling adult patients with various medical needs. Candidates must be proficient in telemetry monitoring and managing cardiac drips without titration. Responsibilities include starting and managing IVs, administering medications, and providing respiratory support. Nurses will also engage in patient care activities, including wound care and coordination with interdisciplinary teams. Floating to other units may be required based on facility needs. Documentation and charting using the EMR system is essential, with experience in a specific EMR platform required. The work schedule includes night shifts with a frequency of every other weekend required. All submitted requests for time off must be included in the application process. Travelers must be compliant with facility policies regarding shift cancellations and must adhere to floating requirements as needed.
