This position involves managing patients with cardiac diagnoses related to chest pain and arrhythmias. Patients may present with a medical history of cardiac disease and require telemetry monitoring. The unit manages various drips with maximum titration rates, including heparin and nitroglycerin. Patients may undergo procedures such as heart catheterization and cardioversion. Daily census averages around 24 patients with a staffing ratio of 4:1. Applicants must be flexible in floating to other units based on census needs. All assignments require documentation of competencies before performing tasks. Modules required for compliance are up to 16 hours and are billable.
