Travel Nurse RN - Progressive Care Unit - $1,984 per week in Wichita, KS

Job Title: RN - PCU Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Progressive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: Minimum 1 year of current hospital PCU experience License: Current RN license Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH Must-Have: Candidates must have a minimum of 1 year of current hospital PCU experience. Candidates must possess BLS, ACLS, and NIH certifications. Description: This is a travel RN position in the Progressive Care Unit. The unit is designed for patients requiring a higher level of monitoring and care. It has a total of 14 beds available for patient care. Patient-to-nurse ratios are 4:1 during the night shift. Staff includes day shift RNs and patient care technicians. Typical equipment used in the unit includes chest tubes, IV pumps, and various drains. Electronic medical records are managed using Meditech. Candidates should have knowledge of medication drips, central lines, and catch recovery procedures. No invasive procedures are performed in this unit. The ideal candidate will be positive, patient-centered, and a critical thinker. Team players who are engaged in their work are encouraged to apply. Candidates must be willing to float to other units as needed. Every other weekend is required for this position. This unit offers opportunities to work with new equipment and technology.
