Job Title: IMC RN Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: PCU Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2 Years Required License: Must have applicable state license Certifications: ACLS, BLS Must-Have: Candidate must successfully pass the EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with a minimum overall score of 80% and a score of 100% on lethal rhythms. PCU/IMC/Stepdown experience required. First-time travelers accepted. Every other weekend coverage is required. Float required to Tele and/or MS as needed. Description: This position is for an IMC RN specializing in PCU. The RN will work 3x12 hour shifts from 06:45 to 19:15. The unit will direct weekend coverage based on operational needs. Bedside monitoring for up to 8 patients is required. The RN will perform ultrasound IV, cardiac monitoring, and utilize lift equipment. Candidates must have experience with BiPAP/CPAP management and maintenance, central line care, chest tube management, and CVA care. Management of dysrhythmias, high flow nasal cannula, and IV insulin protocols is essential. RNs must be able to manage cardiac drips, peripheral line care, and pre/post hemodialysis management. Isolation precautions and oxygen administration skills are also required. The patient population includes adults with various diagnoses such as diabetes, COPD, sepsis, and hypertension. The RN will be supported by an interdisciplinary team, including physical therapy and respiratory services. Equipment includes bedside monitoring systems and cardiac monitoring devices. Candidates must adhere to unit policies regarding weekend coverage and floating requirements. No call duty is required.
