Staffing:
Day Shift: 1 Charge Nurse, 10 Bedside Nurses, 4 Patient Care Technicians, 1 Unit Secretary
Night Shift: 1 Charge Nurse, 10 Bedside Nurses, 3 Patient Care Technicians
Patient Ratio: 1:4, stretch staffing at 1:5 ratio
Type of Patients:
Patients with congestive heart failure, myocardial infarction, chest pain, arrhythmias, pulmonary hypertension, valvular disease, endocarditis, diabetic ketoacidosis, post cardiac catheterization/stenting, and post pacemaker/ICD/ablation.
Type of Equipment:
Zoll monitors, Baxter pumps, lift equipment, bladder scanners, EMR system (Cerner).
Typical Procedures Performed:
Bedside cardioversion.
