Travel Nurse RN - Progressive Care Unit - $1,995 per week in Asheville, NC

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Progressive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 06:45 - 19:15 Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: 2+ years License: Active RN License Certifications: ACLS, BLS Must-Have: Stepdown experience Telemetry experience Description: Primary patient population includes cardiovascular and vascular surgery. This includes open heart surgeries and thoracic lung surgeries. Additional patient care involves overflow medical cardiology patients. Common diagnoses include heart failure, chest pain, and heart block. The unit has 40 cardiac surgery stepdown beds and approximately 100 staff. Day shift typically consists of 1 charge RN, 13 RNs, and 4 PCTs. Night shift generally includes 1 charge RN, 13 RNs, and 4 PCTs. Patient ratios are 1:5 for RNs and 1:13 for PCTs. Equipment used includes IV pumps and various lifts. EMR utilized is Cerner. Preferred candidates will have experience in cardiovascular and vascular surgery. Typical procedures performed include epidural management and cardiac medication management. Team players who enjoy fast-paced environments are ideal. Flexibility to work weekends and holidays is required. Minimum weekend shift requirements are 6 shifts per 6-week schedule. This is a contractor replacement position.
