Travel Nurse RN - Progressive Care Unit - $1,995 per week in Asheville, NC

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Progressive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 18:45 - 07:15 Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: RN License Certifications: ACLS, BLS Must-Have: Candidates must have 2 years of nursing experience. Candidates must have experience working with trachs. Description: This unit has a total of 23 step down beds and 16 medical-surgical beds. The staff structure includes 1 charge nurse, 11 RNs, and 4 Patient Care Technicians on the day shift. The night shift consists of 1 charge nurse, 10 RNs, and 4 Patient Care Technicians. Patient ratios on the step down unit are 1:3-4 and on the medical-surgical unit are 1:4-6. The equipment commonly used in this unit includes lifts, chest tubes, cardiac drips, stable vented patients, and trachs. The electronic medical record (EMR) system used is Cerner. Candidates are expected to perform procedures such as trach care, chest tube management, and wound dressing changes. The ideal candidate should demonstrate flexibility and a high level of clinical competence. Candidates with previous experience using Cerner will be considered first. Weekend shifts include 6 Saturday or Sunday shifts within a 6-week period.
