Job Opportunity – Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse – Georgia

Start Date: October 12, 2026

Location: Georgia

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 12-hour shifts with every other weekend required; patient ratio of 1:4; 36-bed unit with average daily census of 30 patients

Highlights:

• Neuro/Stroke PCU floor specializing in respiratory, cardiac, and mixed medical patients with continuous telemetry monitoring
• Hands-on experience with titrating cardiac drips, managing BiPAP/CPAP, and caring for CVA and traumatic brain injury patients
• Epic EMR system with Pyxis medication management and SBAR communication protocols
• Assignment lengths vary by contract with bi-weekly orientation schedules; first-time travelers accepted with minimum 1 year of experience
• Floating within facility and scope of practice as needed; no on-call requirements
• Maximum 7 days requested time off per contract (blackout dates apply during Spring Break period)

Requirements:

• Active RN license (Georgia or Compact state license required)
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Progressive Care Unit or telemetry experience strongly preferred
• Proficiency in cardiac telemetry interpretation, managing and titrating cardiac drips, and continuous monitoring
• Experience with Epic charting system preferred
• Competency in BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, central line care, and dysrhythmia management
• Full compliance documentation required prior to start date
• Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only)

Holiday Coverage:

If one or two holidays occur during assignment, both must be worked; if three holidays occur, two must be worked.
