Seven Healthcare is seeking a knowledgeable and dependable Travel Registered Nurse for a 13-week PCU - Progressive Care Unit assignment in Louisville, KY. This evening shift position offers a weekly total of $2,000 and provides the opportunity to work in a well-equipped facility with a dedicated cardiac care team in a vibrant city.

Key Responsibilities of the Travel PCU Nurse:
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive care plan for patients in the progressive care unit, incorporating their individual needs, medical history, and treatment goals.
  • Monitor and assess patients' vital signs, blood pressure, heart rate, oxygen levels, and overall condition.
  • Administer medications and intravenous therapies as prescribed, ensuring accurate dosage and proper documentation.
  • Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, promptly recognizing and responding to any abnormalities or changes in patients' conditions.
  • Collaborate with physicians, fellow nurses, and interdisciplinary teams to provide coordinated and effective patient care.
  • Educate patients and their families about their conditions, treatment plans, and self-care strategies.
  • Assist with various medical procedures, including wound care, line insertion, and patient transfers.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, documenting all assessments, interventions, and outcomes.
  • Adhere to all infection control protocols and ensure a clean and safe environment for patients and staff.

Requirements of the Travel PCU Nurse:
  • Active RN license (Kentucky or Compact State)
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
  • Minimum of 2 years' recent PCU experience
  • Strong knowledge of cardiac monitoring, arrhythmia recognition, and critical care medications.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team.
