Key Responsibilities of the Travel PCU RN:
  • Deliver exceptional nursing care to patients requiring intermediate or step-down level monitoring
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans
  • Administer medications, manage drips, and monitor telemetry and vital signs
  • Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
  • Provide education and emotional support to patients and families
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EMR system
Requirements of the Travel PCU RN:
  • Active RN license (state-specific or compact)
  • BLS and ACLS certifications required
  • Minimum of 2 years of recent PCU experience in an acute care setting
  • Strong critical thinking, communication, and patient assessment skills
