  • Position: Registered Nurse – Progressive Care Unit (PCU)
  • Location: Ann Arbor
  • Contract Length: 13 Weeks
  • Shift: Night Shift
  • Schedule: 3x12
  • Experience Required: 1 Year
  • Weekly Pay: $2000 to $2270
Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients requiring intermediate-level monitoring and treatment
  • Perform detailed patient assessments and continuously monitor changes in patient condition
  • Administer medications, IV therapies, blood products, and prescribed treatments accurately and safely
  • Monitor cardiac rhythms, telemetry, oxygen therapy, and other advanced monitoring equipment
  • Recognize and respond promptly to changes in patient status and medical emergencies
  • Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, pharmacists, case managers, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop individualized care plans
  • Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, medications, treatments, discharge planning, and recovery expectations
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR)
  • Ensure compliance with infection prevention, patient safety, and hospital quality standards
  • Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care while supporting patients and families throughout hospitalization
Requirements
  • Active Michigan RN License
  • Minimum 1 year of recent Progressive Care Unit (PCU), Step-Down, Telemetry, or Acute Care nursing experience
  • Current BLS Certification required
  • Current ACLS Certification required
  • NIH Stroke Scale Certification preferred
  • Experience with telemetry monitoring, cardiac medications, and intermediate-level patient care preferred
  • Strong assessment, critical thinking, and clinical decision-making skills
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and organizational abilities
  • Experience with electronic medical record (EMR) systems preferred
  • Commitment to delivering exceptional patient-centered care
