Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Intermediate Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 3x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years required License: Must hold a valid nursing license in the relevant state Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - Previous charge experience - Experience with patient ratios of 4-5 - Proficient in the Cerner charting system - Travel experience required Description: We are seeking a Registered Nurse for an Intermediate Care Unit. The candidate must have at least 2 years of recent nursing experience. ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications are required. Candidates should have experience in managing patients with dysrhythmias. The registered nurse will float to units of equivalent or lower acuity during low census periods. Weekend shifts are included as part of the contract requirements. Scrubs are not provided; candidates should wear navy blue or white. Duties include interpretation of dysrhythmias and management of cardiac telemetry patients. The unit supports patients with renal, respiratory, cardiac issues, and other medical or surgical needs. Interdisciplinary support is available from various teams, including physical therapy and respiratory services. An emphasis on patient safety and adherence to infection control protocols is essential.
