Description:
This position is for a Registered Nurse specializing in Progressive Care.
The nurse will provide care for patients in a high-functioning unit with long-term patients.
The schedule consists of three 12-hour shifts, typically from 07:00 to 19:30.
Weekend and holiday rotations are required.
Floating to other units may be necessary as needed.
The unit generally has a patient census of approximately 30.
Patient age groups are primarily adults.
Special procedures and equipment will be utilized for patient monitoring.
Interdisciplinary support teams, including physical therapy, respiratory services, and rapid response, will be available.
The primary patient population includes individuals with strokes and various medical disorders.
The role requires a high level of skill in cardiac care and monitoring.
All travelers will be expected to float between all campuses if required.
Candidates must have experience in titrating drips and managing peripheral and PICC lines.
All Registered Nurses must pass a compliance EKG exam prior to starting the job.
Non-billable modules may be required during orientation.
