Travel Nurse RN - Progressive Care Unit - $2,034 per week in Clinton, MD

Job Title: IMC/ICU RN Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: IMC Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years required; 1 travel assignment completed. License: Current RN license required. Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS required. Must-Have: Candidate must pass the EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with a minimum score of 80% overall and 100% on lethal rhythms. Description: This position requires an experienced registered nurse to work primarily in IMC and may include floating to the ICU unit. The nurse will be responsible for managing and caring for adult and geriatric patients. The daily patient census is approximately 9, with a patient ratio of 4 patients per nurse. The role involves administering medications, managing IVs, and monitoring patient progress. Experience with cardiac telemetry, high-flow nasal cannula, and ventilator management is essential. Candidates must have prior ICU experience and familiarity with charting systems. Every other weekend and 6 weekend shifts within a six-week period are required. All staff must receive the flu vaccine, and no exemptions are allowed. The position involves interdisciplinary support, working closely with various medical staff for patient care. Candidates should be capable of performing a variety of nursing skills, including but not limited to: - Blood product administration - Care of ventilated patients - Central line care and management - Isolation precautions - Wound care and management This role is vital in ensuring the highest standards of patient care and safety.
