- Experience with PA lines
- Ability to work with presurgical patients
- Familiarity with low acuity critical care processes
Description:
The position is for a step-down unit focused on heart and vascular care.
It accommodates patients awaiting placement in various critical care units.
Ventilators, CRRT, and Impella devices are not accepted on this unit.
The unit will support LVADs, 2-4 drips, arterial lines, and PA catheters.
It will also function as an observation area for patients requiring extended monitoring post-procedure.
The environment is fast-paced and has a high volume of patient turnover.
There will be a diverse range of patient diagnoses to provide learning opportunities.
Working in this role will help develop organizational and critical thinking skills.
It offers a chance to enhance critical care skills and refine assessment abilities.
Upon starting, completion of a proctored rhythm identification test will be required.
Two attempts will be allowed for this test.
