Description: The position requires a Registered Nurse to work in a progressive care unit. The ideal candidate will have experience in patient care for those who have undergone various surgical procedures. Primary patient demographics include individuals recovering from bariatric surgeries, urology procedures, and trauma cases. The nurse will manage various types of drains and tubes, ensuring proper care is administered. Pain control management will be primarily through epidural methods and PCA. The role involves frequent collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Nurses are expected to float between departments as needed. A commitment to following health and safety protocols is essential. The nurse will maintain proper nursing documentation using the Epic charting system. Regular participation in ongoing training and compliance modules is required. Flexibility in scheduling, including weekend shifts, is an expectation of the role.
