Job Opportunity – Progressive Care Unit Registered Nurse – Montana

Schedule: Night shift in Progressive Care Unit/Step Down setting
Highlights:
Progressive Care/Step Down unit providing care to hemodynamically stable or predictably unstable patients requiring intensive monitoring
Diverse patient populations including post-operative surgical patients, post-PCI care, pacemaker placement, thoracotomy, CHF, COPD, DKA, renal failure, DVT, PE, and sepsis
Utilize advanced medical equipment including central lines, chest tubes, nasogastric tubes, continuous bladder irrigation, and ventilatory support systems (CPAP, BiPAP)
Medication management experience with IV medications including Heparin, Diltiazem, Dobutamine, Lasix, Amiodarone, and Dopamine
Basic cardiac telemetry and EKG interpretation required; opportunity to work with advanced monitoring systems
Clinical leadership role with opportunities to precept staff and collaborate across professional disciplines
Requirements:
Current Montana RN Licensure required
BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification required (PALS may be obtained within 6 months of hire)
EPNC and TNCC certification preferred but not required
Experience with post heart catheterization and post-operative vascular surgery patients preferred
Pediatric nursing experience preferred
Proficiency with multiple IV pumps, invasive lines, and advanced medical equipment
