Travel Nurse RN - Progressive Care Unit - $2,058 per week in Albuquerque, NM

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Cardiac Stepdown Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2 years preferred (will consider 1+ years) License: Current and valid nursing license Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS preferred Must-Have: Cardiovascular experience required Description: This position functions as a cardiac stepdown unit with a significant cardiac patient population. The nurse will manage patients with various cardiac diagnoses. Ratios will be 1:4. The nurse must be available for weekend shifts as needed, rotating. Floating to like units may be required based on facility needs. There is no on-call requirement for this position. The nurse will be responsible for providing advanced cardiac care. Experience in managing patients requiring telemetry monitoring is essential. Skills in BiPAP/CPAP management and blood product administration are needed. The nurse must be proficient in central line care/management and interpretation of dysrhythmias. Experience in the administration of cardiac drips, including monitoring and titration, is required. Knowledge in post-cardiac procedures will be necessary. This position requires awareness of isolation precautions and the ability to manage IV protocols. The daily patient census is approximately 38. The unit comprises 55 beds. Interdisciplinary support is available through various services including physical therapy and respiratory services.
