Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Progressive Care Unit Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2 years preferred (1+ years considered) License: Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH Must-Have: - Cardiovascular experience required - Charge experience preferred - Experience with charting systems Description: The position involves working in a progressive care unit focusing on cardiovascular patients. The nurse will be responsible for managing patient care, including medication administration and monitoring vital signs. The nurse will also assist with procedures and provide education to patients and families. Ratios for patient assignments will be 1:4. Weekend and holiday coverage may be required on a rotating basis. Travelers may be expected to float to similar units as needed. The unit consists of 55 beds with an interdisciplinary team supporting various patient needs. Ideal candidates will have experience with both acute and chronic cardiovascular conditions. Additional skills beneficial for this role include cardiac telemetry, IV management, and the ability to interpret dysrhythmias.
