Travel Nurse RN - Progressive Care Unit - $2,075 per week in Hermitage, TN

Job Opportunity – Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse – Tennessee

Start Date: September 3, 2026

Location: Hermitage, Tennessee

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Three 12-hour shifts per week with every other weekend requirement. Self-scheduling available with 4-week scheduling blocks.

Highlights:

• Progressive Care Unit with 34 beds and 25 beds across two units (Cost Centers 630/633)
• Nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:4 to 1:5 on days and 1:5 to 1:6 on nights with dedicated tech support
• Diverse case mix including cardiac drips, BiPAPs, high flow oxygen, Vapotherm, insulin and heparin drips, peritoneal dialysis, and wound vac management
• Advanced procedures performed on unit: peritoneal dialysis, thoracentesis, paracentesis, chest tube insertions, central line dressing changes, and NG/Dobhoff tube insertions
• Meditech documentation system with modern equipment including Alaris pumps and cardiac monitoring
• Strong team culture with "care like family" values and high traveler extension rates after initial assignment

Requirements:

• Active RN license in Tennessee or compact state license
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Critical thinking skills with strong EKG rhythm interpretation ability
• Experience with cardiac drips, insulin drips, and heparin drips required
• Proficiency with BiPAPs, high flow oxygen systems, and multiple oxygen delivery methods
• Experience with stroke care and post-cardiac catheterization patients
• Peripheral IV skills required; peritoneal dialysis experience preferred
• Experience with tube feedings and NG/Dobhoff tube management
• Flexibility to float between PCU units or to med-surg floors as needed
