  • Contract Length: 13 Weeks
  • Shift: Night Shift
  • Schedule: 3×12
  • Experience Required: 2 Years
  • Weekly Pay:$2100 to $2290
Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients requiring intermediate-level care and continuous monitoring
  • Perform detailed patient assessments and monitor vital signs, cardiac rhythms, and neurological status
  • Administer medications, IV therapies, blood products, and other prescribed treatments accurately and safely
  • Monitor patients with cardiac, respiratory, neurological, and post-surgical conditions
  • Recognize and respond promptly to changes in patient condition and medical emergencies
  • Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, pharmacists, case managers, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate patient care
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans
  • Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, medications, treatment plans, recovery, and discharge instructions
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR)
  • Ensure compliance with infection prevention protocols, patient safety standards, and hospital quality initiatives
  • Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care while promoting recovery and positive outcomes
Requirements
  • Active Michigan Registered Nurse (RN) License
  • Minimum 2 years of recent Progressive Care Unit (PCU), Step-Down, or Telemetry nursing experience
  • Current BLS Certification required
  • Current ACLS Certification required
  • NIH Stroke Scale Certification preferred
  • Experience with cardiac monitoring, telemetry interpretation, and caring for medically complex patients
  • Strong assessment, critical thinking, communication, and multitasking skills
  • Experience using electronic medical record (EMR) systems preferred
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced acute care environment
  • Commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care
