Position: Registered Nurse – Progressive Care Unit (PCU)
Location: Saginaw
Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Shift: Night Shift
Schedule: 3×12
Experience Required: 2 Years
Weekly Pay:$2100 to $2290
Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients requiring intermediate-level care and continuous monitoring
Perform detailed patient assessments and monitor vital signs, cardiac rhythms, and neurological status
Administer medications, IV therapies, blood products, and other prescribed treatments accurately and safely
Monitor patients with cardiac, respiratory, neurological, and post-surgical conditions
Recognize and respond promptly to changes in patient condition and medical emergencies
Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, pharmacists, case managers, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate patient care
Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans
Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, medications, treatment plans, recovery, and discharge instructions
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR)
Ensure compliance with infection prevention protocols, patient safety standards, and hospital quality initiatives
Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care while promoting recovery and positive outcomes
Requirements
Active Michigan Registered Nurse (RN) License
Minimum 2 years of recent Progressive Care Unit (PCU), Step-Down, or Telemetry nursing experience
Current BLS Certification required
Current ACLS Certification required
NIH Stroke Scale Certification preferred
Experience with cardiac monitoring, telemetry interpretation, and caring for medically complex patients
Strong assessment, critical thinking, communication, and multitasking skills
Experience using electronic medical record (EMR) systems preferred
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced acute care environment
