Travel Nurse RN - Progressive Care Unit - $2,117 per week in Kansas City, MO

The unit has 16 beds with a patient ratio of 4:1. Staff includes unit secretaries and technicians. Equipment includes Welch Allyn VS Machines, Hoyer lift, Sarah Steady Lift, telemetry, bladder scanner, and Doppler. Documentation is done using a Meditech system. Scheduling requires 3 shifts per week with 3-4 weekend shifts. Floating may occur to areas where competency has been demonstrated. Telemetry and stroke care experiences are required for this position. Candidates must hold ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications. Advanced skills needed include cardiac drips and basic dysthymia management. This unit does not perform any specific procedures. High employee engagement is a notable aspect of this unit.
