Travel Nurse RN - Progressive Care Unit - $2,121 per week in Salem, OR

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Progressive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 1 year of experience within the last 3 years in Medical/Surgical, Telemetry, or Progressive Care Unit, with preferences for PCU and neuro stepdown experience. License: Oregon RN license is not required at the time of submission; pending licensure is acceptable. Certifications: BLS required. Must-Have: Experience with telemetry. Management of telemetry and interpretation of cardiac rhythms. Non-invasive airway management. Peripheral line care and management. Rapid response team activation. Management of dysrhythmias. Computerized documentation. Oxygen protocol experience. Experience with cardiac drips (such as nitroglycerin, Cardizem, amiodarone, Nicardipine, and other infusion medications). Isolation precautions and PPE. Staffing ratios: RN to patient ratio of 1:3-4, CNA to patient ratio of 1:6-13 during the day and 1:10-13 during the night. Description: The position is for an RN in a Progressive Care Unit. The unit provides care for patients with a variety of brain or nervous system disorders, such as strokes, traumatic brain injuries, and post-surgical care. Staff are trained in NIHSS, swallow screening, and spine immobilization. This unit prides itself on providing outstanding patient care. It is certified as a Primary Stroke Center and a Spine Center of Excellence.
