Travel Nurse RN - Progressive Care Unit - $2,123 per week in Richmond, VA

Ability to handle a fast-paced unit with several admissions, discharges, transfers, and procedures. Description: This position is for a cardiac telemetry unit with a focus on quality patient care. The unit has 25 beds and staffing includes a charge RN, RNs, techs, and unit secretaries. The patient-to-nurse ratio is 4:1 on the night shift. Equipment used in this unit includes EKG machines, Hoyer lifts, and LifePak monitors. The role requires making timely notifications to physicians regarding changes in patient conditions. Candidates should demonstrate strong problem-solving skills and good judgment. Team players with a positive attitude will thrive in this environment. The unit typically performs PD EKGs. Most cardiac procedures are handled in the Cath Lab. Weekend and holiday shifts will be required, including every third Friday and Saturday night.
