Description:
We care for adult patients with acute cardiac, vascular, and thoracic needs.
We manage open heart post-operative patients on day one, stenting procedures, devices, ablations, and chest pain rule-outs.
We administer antiarrhythmic infusions such as amiodarone and diltiazem, along with heart failure infusions like furosemide, bumetanide, milrinone, and dobutamine.
We provide post-operative care for vascular and thoracic surgeries.
Candidates must have experience in accessing and managing ports, administering blood products, and using cardiac telemetry.
Experience in central line care/management, managing chest tubes, and handling cerebrovascular accidents is critical.
Candidates should be skilled in feeding tube care and management, adhering to heparin protocols, and interpreting dysrhythmias.
Knowledge of isolation precautions and personal protective equipment is required.
The ability to manage cardiac drips, starting and maintaining IVs, and providing telemetry services is essential.
We conduct rapid response and code team procedures as needed.
Wound care and management of wound vacs are also part of the role.
Interdisciplinary support includes IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and unit secretaries.
The daily census consists of up to 26 patients, with a focus on adult and geriatric age groups.
Candidates should be prepared to float within the hospital if required during the interview or offer negotiation.
