Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Stepdown Intermediate Care Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours (07:00 - 19:30) Experience: Minimum of 2 years required in Stepdown or ICU License: Valid state license must be pending Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - Previous charge experience preferred - Charting system experience required - Ability to float within hospital or to affiliate hospitals Description: The position is for a Registered Nurse in Stepdown Intermediate Care. The shift is 3x12 days from 07:00 to 19:30. There are no call requirements. Every other weekend work is required. Holidays will also be scheduled every other holiday. The nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:4. Two years of experience in a Stepdown or ICU department is required. Certifications including BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS are required. Applicants will be expected to provide care to adult and geriatric patients. The daily census is expected to be around 18 patients. The unit consists of 22 beds. Interdisciplinary support will be available including Physical Therapy and Pharmacy. Candidate must complete all required modules within one week of signing. Professional conduct is paramount, and any misconduct may result in contract termination. Travelers must agree to obtain all necessary certifications prior to the start.
