Travel Nurse RN - Progressive Care Unit - $2,135 per week in Englewood, CO

Job Title: RN - PCU Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Progressive Care Unit Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in acute care hospital PCU License: Active RN License Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: - Minimum 1-year current acute care hospital PCU experience - BLS & ACLS certifications Description: Travel RN position in a multi-trauma unit. The unit consists of 20 beds and has a staff of 40. The night shift typically includes 1 charge nurse and 5 nurses, along with 2 techs. Patient ratios are estimated at 1:4, with the charge nurse free of patients. Type of equipment used includes vents, feeding pumps, IV pumps, wound vacs, specialty beds, suction devices, and chest tubes. Electronic medical record system is Meditech/CPN. Candidates should have experience placing chest tubes and managing trauma patients, including tracheostomies and suctioning. Ideal candidates will be team players who enjoy working with a highly acute patient population. The unit fosters great teamwork and motivated nurses. There is strong support from charge nurses and techs on both day and night shifts. Physicians on the unit are described as wonderful and supportive.
