Travel Nurse RN - Progressive Care Unit - $2,136 per week in Prescott, AZ

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN (Registered Nurse) Specialty: MS/Tele/PCU Float Pool Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12H Nights Hours per Shift: 36 hours per week Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS Must-Have: - At least 1 year of experience in a PCU setting - Ability to titrate drips such as Heparin, Cardizem, Amiodarone, Nitro, Dopamine, Dobutamine, and Insulin - Capability to read and interpret cardiac strips Description: This is a float pool position covering multiple settings, including MedSurg Tele and PCU. Nurse-to-patient ratios are approximately 1:4 in PCU and 1:5-6 in MedSurg Tele. Common patient populations include geriatric patients and ortho patients, with a strong focus on post-procedural care. Clinicians are expected to manage patients recovering from myocardial infarctions and cardiac catheterizations. Charge nurses do not take assignments, ensuring dedicated oversight. Nurse aids will be utilized in all settings to assist with patient care. Respiratory therapy equipment, including CPAP and BiPAP, will be provided as needed. Monitoring technology will be available in all units, ensuring patient safety and accurate assessments. Scheduling is handled centrally, with a published schedule available six weeks in advance. Travelers will need to be flexible to accommodate shift changes and placement assignments. Weekend and holiday rotations will include travelers as part of the regular staff. There is no call or standby requirement for this position. Units will be assigned two hours prior to shift start via text notification. Professional scrub attire is required, with solid colors currently in use and a shift to navy scrubs planned. Overall orientation will consist of a comprehensive introduction to organizational policies and procedures.
