Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse (RN) Specialty: Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Nights Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum years of experience required License: Active Ohio or Compact RN License Certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA) Must-Have: - Post-operative open heart care experience - Chest tube and drain management experience - Pre- and post-procedure care for patients with radial and femoral access - Proficiency in cardiac monitoring, including reading and interpreting cardiac rhythm strips - Advanced knowledge of cardiac and pulmonary abnormalities - Experience assisting with chest tube removal and removal of pericardial pacing wires - Management of temporary pacers and troubleshooting of non-invasive ventilation devices Description: This position follows a clinical interview process. Candidates can expect outreach within two hours via phone and text where applicable. Decisions are typically made the same day or by the next business day. The Registered Nurse assumes responsibility and accountability for the care of assigned patients during their shift. RN responsibilities include assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care using age-specific criteria. Judgments are made based on scientific knowledge and clinical skills. The RN also assists in planning, directing, and teaching non-RN staff such as LPNs and Unit Secretaries. Must float to all units within skill level. Every other weekend commitment is required.
