Travel Nurse RN - Progressive Care Unit - $2,152 per week in Asheville, NC

Job Opportunity – Cardiac Progressive Care Registered Nurse – North Carolina

Start Date: August 24, 2026

Location: Asheville, North Carolina

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Every other weekend required; Day and Night shift positions available; Patient ratios 1:4 (stretch staffing 1:5)

Highlights:

• 40-bed progressive care cardiac unit specializing in complex cardiovascular conditions
• Patient population includes CHF, MI, chest pain, arrhythmias, pulmonary hypertension, valvular disease, endocarditis, post-cardiac procedures, and pacemaker/ICD/ablation patients
• Experience with titratable cardiac IV medications including nitroglycerin, Cardizem, amiodarone, dopamine, dobutamine, insulin drip, and heparin
• Cerner EMR system with advanced cardiac monitoring equipment including Zoll devices and Baxter pumps
• Supportive team environment with dedicated charge nurses, bedside nurses, PCTs, and unit secretaries on each shift
• Float opportunities to Med/Surg, Stepdown, and Emergency Department holding areas

Requirements:

• Active North Carolina RN license or compact state license
• Stepdown or progressive care nursing experience required
• Telemetry experience required
• Demonstrated experience managing titratable cardiac IV medications
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Preferred: Experience with prostacyclins (Flolan, Veletri, Remodulin) and relief charge experience
