Job Opportunity – Critical Care RN – North Carolina

Start Date: September 21, 2026

Location: Asheville, North Carolina

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 12-hour shifts with every other weekend requirement and holiday support. 2:1 ICU ratios, 4-5:1 PCU ratios. Day shift: 1 Charge RN + 5 Staff RNs. Night shift: 1 Charge RN + 5 Staff RNs.

• Relief charge nurses perform nurse leader rounding; charge nurse out of staffing ratios
• Floating required as needed across facility
• Bedside shift report mandatory; strong focus on patient experience

Requirements:

• Active RN license in North Carolina or compact state eligibility
• Medical ICU experience in a large facility required
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Demonstrated competency in hemodynamic monitoring and ventilator management
• Expertise in critical care pharmacology including IV sedation, paralytics, and vasopressors
• Proficiency in central line management and assisting with bedside procedures such as chest tube insertion and intubations
• Strong critical thinking skills with flexibility and collaborative approach
