Travel Nurse RN - Progressive Care Unit - $2,165 per week in Savannah, GA

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: PCU for the ER holding type: Stepdown Duration: 18 weeks Shift: 12H Nights Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years of recent PCU or 1 year of PCU with 1+ years of TELE/ER/ICU experience. License: Current RN License required Certifications: ACLS, BLS Certification required Must-Have: Successfully completed at least 1 previous travel assignment. References should be from recent assignment(s). Description: 100-mile radius rule is strictly enforced. Ratio will be 1:4-5 and will adjust for acuity. This position includes working in the ER holding unit. Common diagnoses/types of patients include cardiac, neuro, ortho, and critical care. Respiratory therapy is available 24/7 and completes ABGs and breathing treatments upon request. Respiratory therapy handles equipment such as vents, CPAP, BiPAP, and high flow. Registered Nurses are required to read their own strips and save them into the chart using Spacelabs monitors. X-ray and CT scans are available in the ER with techs to handle transport. There is no phlebotomy in the ER; transport techs only work until 10 PM at night. Weekend requirements include every other weekend. Holiday requirements will be based on department needs. There is no call or standby requirement. Dress code is navy scrub color. Department-specific orientation will occur during the first week of the contract. Cancellation policy includes 2 shifts per assignment. Charting system is MEDITECH. BSN is not required. Trauma level is 3. Setting is acute care. Division is nursing. Shift notes include 12-hour shifts.
