Job Title: Registered Nurse - PCU Profession: RN Specialty: PCU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12.5 hours Experience: Minimum 1 year License: Registered Nurse Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: Epic experience preferred. Willingness to work Thanksgiving and one other winter holiday. Description: This position involves working a night shift from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM. The unit is a high acuity, fast-paced surgical step-down environment. Nurse-patient ratio is typically 4:1, occasionally 3:1. Candidates should be experienced in managing chest tubes, arterial lines, PICC lines, and other central lines. Ability to care for ostomies, tracheostomies, nasogastric tubes, and wound vacs is essential. Familiarity with various drains and IV infusions, including Heparin, Insulin, Nitro, Amiodarone, and Cardizem is required. A strong background in critical care or an ICU setting is beneficial.
