- Respiratory support, including nasal cannula, O2 administration
- Isolation precautions
Description:
The position is for a Registered Nurse in a Neuro PCU.
Shift hours are 3x12, from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM.
This includes the possibility of 4x12-hour shifts upon request.
Weekend requirements may include every other weekend or 6 weekend shifts within a 6-week scheduling block.
Requests for time off must be included with the submission.
This unit can accommodate blocked scheduling.
The facility is permitted to call off one shift every two weeks.
One holiday must be worked for each 13-week contract.
First-time travelers are accepted.
Local candidates are subject to a radius rule.
Pending licenses are accepted only if the candidate holds a single-state license from a non-compact state.
The patient population consists of adults with neurological conditions.
Care includes neurosurgical recovery, stroke management, neuro-specific diagnoses, and medical overflow.
The nurse must float to units within their clinical skill set.
Patient ratios are 1:4 to 1:5.
Qualifications include telemetry experience and the ability to interpret and manage dysrhythmias.
Travel experience is preferred.
Compliance may require documentation due by a specified date prior to starting the assignment.
Candidates residing within a specific distance from the facility are considered local and may not be accepted.
Previous employees must have a minimum separation period before reapplying.
Candidates must work at least one holiday per assignment, with additional requirements during winter holidays.
