ACLS preferred Must-Have: - Telemetry, Neuro Stepdown, PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown experience - Cardiac Monitoring and Emergency response skills - Managing dysrhythmias and telemetry monitoring - Post Cardiac Angiogram and Post MI care - Pre/Post Cardiac Cath and Pre/Post Cardiac Surgery experience - Feeding tube care and management - Pre/Post Hemodialysis Management and Renal failure experience - IV therapy skills including access and management of various lines - Medication management skills including administering drips Description: The position is for an experienced Registered Nurse in the IMC/Stepdown/PCU specialty. The role requires working day shifts, specifically three 12-hour shifts. Candidates must have a minimum of one year of nursing experience in the relevant specialty. Weekend shifts will be required every other weekend. Active BLS and NIH certifications are mandatory. ACLS certification is preferred. The RN will float as needed within the facility. Candidates should have experience with managing patients with a wide range of diagnoses. The unit takes on diverse patient types and offers a fast-paced environment with high patient throughput. The preferred skills include the management of ventilated patients, tracheostomy care, and effective communication with interdisciplinary teams. Effective time management and critical thinking skills are essential for success in this role. The position includes working with a patient ratio of 1:4, with potential charge nurse responsibilities. Special procedures involved in the unit include, but are not limited to, cardiovascular and neurological care. The RN must be prepared to handle emergencies and work collaboratively with rapid response teams. Cerner charting experience is preferred but not mandatory.
