Description:
EPIC experience is required for this position.
ACLS and BLS certifications are necessary.
IV Start and Telemetry certifications are required.
Experience with a typical patient ratio of 1:4 or 1:5 is preferred.
The unit has 39 beds and provides progressive care.
The Registered Nurse will be responsible for caring for patients who require telemetry monitoring.
The nurse must be able to read and interpret telemetry strips.
If the nurse is assigned to the unit, floating to other areas may be required.
Travelers must be available to work every other weekend and holiday.
No additional incentives are offered.
Candidates with past license disciplinary actions are not accepted.
The patient population includes adults and geriatrics with various medical and surgical diagnoses.
The unit has a nursing team that includes interdisciplinary support from various healthcare professionals.
Candidates must be comfortable floating based on needs and skill sets.
The position may include managing cardiac drips and IV insulin protocols.
The environment is fast-paced, requiring strong critical thinking and assessment skills.
The Registered Nurse will be responsible for patient care, monitoring, and documentation.
Candidates must have proficiency in utilizing electronic health record systems for charting.
Ability to effectively communicate with patients and their families is essential.
All candidates must pass a lab work and EKG/dysrhythmia exam prior to starting.
