Experience with stable chronic ventilators
IV start preferred
Must be available to work every other holiday
Available to work every other weekend/holiday
Description:
Winter jobs - 13- or 18-week contract available.
Targeted patient ratios are 1:4 but can be up to 1:5-6.
36 or 48 hours per week.
For the 48-hour contract, overtime is paid after 48 hours.
Traveler will float at discretion based on the needs of the unit.
If assigned to this role, floating could include other locations nearby.
Travel experience is preferred.
Traveler must be comfortable floating with no restrictions or special requests.
Daily census averages around 32 patients.
The unit is fast-paced with physical demands.
Patients may require physical assistance to turn, move, and ambulate.
Care includes traumas, ventilated patients, and multi-system problems.
Candidates must be able to manage a broad skill set.
Lab work must be completed within 72 hours of signing the contract.
EKG/Dysrhythmia exam must be completed within 72 hours of signing the contract.
Maximum of 14 days of requested time off allowed per contract.
No schedule requests or time off will be negotiated after an offer is made.
References are not required.
Floating candidates may float within the facility based on skill sets and needs.
Epic is required for all inpatient nursing roles.
Candidates with past license disciplinary action will not be accepted.
Candidates with prior employment with the organization must wait 6 months before applying.
Facility rehire approval is needed for those who have worked previously.
Failure to disclose prior employment may result in cancellation of the application.
