Seven Healthcare is pleased to present a travel nursing opportunity for a Registered Nurse in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) in Fairfax, VA. This assignment offers a weekly pay of $2,200 for three 12-hour night shifts (36 hours).

Key Responsibilities of the Travel PCU Nurse:
  • Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Progressive Care Unit.
  • Monitor and assess patients' clinical conditions, including cardiac monitoring.
  • Administer medications, IV therapy, and treatments as ordered.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
  • Educate patients and families on disease processes, treatments, and discharge instructions.
  • Accurately document patient care and clinical observations in electronic health records.
  • Respond promptly to changes in patient status, including emergency interventions.
  • Assist with patient admissions, transfers, and discharges.
  • Travel to and from assignment locations as needed.

Requirements of the Travel PCU Nurse:
  • Valid Virgina/Compact Registered Nurse (RN) license.
  • Current BLS, ACLS and NIHSS certifications.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in a Progressive Care Unit or similar acute care setting.
  • Strong assessment and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
