Travel Nurse RN - Progressive Care Unit - $2,206 per week in Des Moines, IA

Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Profession: Nursing Specialty: Progressive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Days Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 24 months minimum in Telemetry/Cardiac, Stepdown, or Progressive Care License: Active Iowa license/multistate Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: - Experience with patient populations including ICD and Pacemaker - Experience caring for CABG and vascular surgical patients - Cardiac Rhythm experience - EPIC EMR experience - Equipment experience with Alaris IV pump and wound vac - Cardiac drip and titration experience - Level II trauma experience Description: The role involves caring for patients in a progressive care setting. Patient types include CABG, ICD, Pacemaker, and those on cardiac drips. Nurse-patient ratios on days are 1:4 and on nights are 1:6. The unit has 24 beds with tele tech monitoring. Scrubs must be navy blue and solid. Travelers may be required to float across multiple campuses. It is expected that the contractor will work during 1-2 of the 3 upcoming winter holidays, unless the unit is closed. Completion of at least one travel contract within the previous 18 months is required. Professional references should include a charge nurse, supervisor, or another qualified individual from the last 24 months.
