Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Progressive Care Unit Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Hours (19:00 - 07:30) Experience: 1 Year of Experience Required License: Valid RN License Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: Candidates with only 1 year of experience may now be considered, but their profiles will need to be reviewed by the manager. Must be comfortable with CPAP/BiPAP, med titrations, and charge-capable on nights. Float required within the organization as needed. Description: Seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for a mixed acuity unit. This unit primarily supports medicine services. The Registered Nurse will care for a variety of stepdown and med/surg patients. Daily census on the unit is around 25. The unit mainly houses medicine teaching services. No specific specialty service is available in this unit. Must have experience with CPAP/BiPAP management and titration of cardiac drips. Charge Nurse capabilities are required for night shifts. Interdisciplinary support includes IV teams, physical therapy, and respiratory services. Other patient diagnoses include bacteremia, COPD, and anemia. Special procedures include management of chest tubes and feeding tubes. Candidates must complete fingerprinting upon signing the contract. Responsiveness and cooperation with credentialing are essential. All candidates must have a valid license at the time of submission. Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program. Reference requirements include two professional references from a manager or supervisor.
