Job Title: Step-Down Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Step Down Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours (19:00 - 07:30) Experience: 2+ years of recent Step-Down experience License: Active RN license Certifications: BLS ACLS NIHSS Must-Have: Cardiac monitoring Dysrhythmia interpretation Dysrhythmia management 12-lead EKG/ECG IV start and maintenance PICC line management Blood product administration Emergency medications Description: Looking for a Step-Down Registered Nurse with recent experience. The nurse will care for patients with diagnoses such as congestive heart failure, respiratory failure, and cardiac dysrhythmias. Post-heart catheter care and monitoring of vascular procedures are essential responsibilities. Frequent vital signs and neurovascular checks are expected. The nurse must be skilled in medication administration and procedural sedation monitoring. Emergency medications and cardiac drip titration experience are required. Infection prevention and isolation precautions are part of the daily duties. Phlebotomy skills are also necessary. The patient-to-nurse ratio will be 1:4-5. Candidates must be willing to work every other weekend and holiday. Local candidates are accepted. COVID-19 and flu vaccinations are required, with exemptions allowed. First-time travelers may be considered on a case-by-case basis. Preferred candidates will have experience in community hospital settings.
