Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: PCU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2 years of recent specialty experience required License: Active RN license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - Previous Charge Experience preferred - Ability to float between departments as needed - Experience in MS/Tele, Telemetry, Cardiac Telemetry, ER Holding, Neuro Stepdown, PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown Description: The Registered Nurse will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a progressive care unit. The nurse will manage a patient ratio of 1:5. Encourage and assist in the development of patient care plans. The role requires monitoring and assessment of patients receiving telemetry and cardiac care. Successful candidates will demonstrate expertise in interpreting dysrhythmias and managing cardiac drips. Experience with IV therapy, phlebotomy, and medication administration protocols is essential. Familiarity with post-operative care and management of patients undergoing cardiovascular procedures is necessary. Knowledge in managing and caring for patients with respiratory needs is critical. The nurse must adhere to isolation precautions and infection control standards. Strong communication skills are vital for working within an interdisciplinary team. This position requires flexibility with work hours, including weekends and holiday shifts as required. References from a supervisor level or above are required, as well as a charge RN.
