Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Progressive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years of recent specialty experience required License: Current and valid nursing license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Charge experience preferred Description: This position involves providing care in a progressive care unit. The nurse will be responsible for maintaining patient safety and comfort. Patient ratios are 1:5. Candidates should have experience with cardiac telemetry, post-cardiac care, and hemodialysis management. Candidate must demonstrate proficiency in managing dysrhythmias and cardiac drips. Experience with IV therapy and phlebotomy is required. The nurse will be involved in administering medications, including PCA and procedural sedation. Candidates should have knowledge of emergency response techniques. Experience in wound care and isolation precautions is essential. The role may require floating to different departments based on patient care needs. Weekend shifts are required as per the schedule. The position may involve collaborating with an interdisciplinary team for comprehensive patient care. Proper documentation using electronic health records is necessary.
