Travel Nurse RN - Progressive Care Unit - $2,232 per week in Rochester, NY

Job Opportunity – Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) RN – New York

Start Date: October 2026

Location: Upstate New York

Schedule: 3x12 night shifts, every other weekend required. Patient ratio 1:5 to 1:7.

Highlights:

• 26-bed critical care step-down unit in a 528-bed tertiary care facility
• Diverse patient population requiring specialized monitoring including continuous pulse-oximetry, telemetry, arterial lines, and titrated IV infusions
• Care for patients with airway management needs, acute BiPAP support, and post-ICU step-down care
• EPIC charting system experience required
• Comprehensive 24-hour orientation with multidisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, and rapid response teams
• 13-week assignment with up to 10 days of pre-approved time off available

Requirements:

• Active New York RN license in hand prior to submission (no exceptions)
• Minimum 1-2 years of recent RN experience; previous travel experience required
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• EPIC EMR experience mandatory
• Strong skills in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, IV therapy, respiratory support, and isolation precautions
• Experience with central lines, arterial lines, chest tubes, BiPAP/CPAP, wound care, and vasoactive/cardiac drip management preferred
• Ability to float to ICU or medical-surgical units as needed
• Must reside more than 75 miles from the facility
