Travel Nurse RN - Progressive Care Unit - $2,236 per week in Oklahoma City, OK

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: PCU RN Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Days Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 1 year of experience required. License: Current RN License issued or a current multistate compact RN License. Certifications: Current Basic Life Support and current ACLS required. Must-Have: MS/SD experience; ICU experience preferred; Tracheostomy care experience required; Epic experience required. Description: Under general supervision, provides nursing care in a hospital to a variety of patients with health problems ranging from simple to complex. Assumes responsibility for an assigned group of patients. Documents patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments; notes all changes in physician orders for assigned patients. Assists physician in the examination of patients and in performing minor diagnostic procedures and treatments. Obtains and monitors physiological data of patients, observes the physiological manifestations of patients, and intervenes when necessary. Administers medication as prescribed. Initiates, regulates, and monitors intravenous infusions and blood products. Delivers patient care competently. Interacts with family and patients in sharing the care plan while in the hospital and at the time of discharge. Informs patients and families of hospital procedures. Makes referrals regarding patient care needs to appropriate personnel. Delegates tasks to support staff. Performs other duties as assigned.
