Description:
This position is within a 225 bed specialty care hospital.
The facility includes various departments such as Heart & Vascular Institute, Cancer Center, Brain & Spine, Rehab, Behavioral Health, Digestive Health, Bariatric Medicine & Weight Management, Women's Health, and Pediatrics.
This institution is known for its imaging, surgery, and laboratory services.
The unit consists of 36 beds with a patient ratio of 1:5-6 for cardiac patients and 1:3-4 for PCU/stepdown patients.
The equipment includes telemetry monitoring and electronic health records are utilized.
The supervisor and management team are committed to providing high-quality nursing care.
The patient population primarily consists of cardiac patients requiring trauma and stepdown level care.
Common diagnoses/treatments include chest pain, VATS, stroke/TIA, pre and post open heart surgery, pacemakers, heart blocks, vascular issues, and CHF.
Teamwork is essential for success in this role.
The required education is an Associate degree in nursing.
Appropriate scrubs must be worn, specifically blue or navy, while avoiding unacceptable attire such as blue jeans.
