Must-Have: High acuity Patient Care experience.
Description:
This position involves providing care in a medical oncology progressive care unit.
The unit has a high acuity level with a focus on infection prevention protocols and patient safety.
Registered Nurses will be responsible for monitoring patient conditions using telemetry systems and additional specialized equipment.
The role includes the management of various patient care activities such as administration of medications, wound care, and monitoring of vital signs.
Registered Nurses are expected to interpret dysrhythmias and manage central and peripheral lines.
Additional responsibilities may include working with pediatric patients, though their care is rare and typically managed by permanent staff.
The staffing ratios aim for 1:4-5, but may vary based on unit needs.
Flexibility in scheduling is required, including potential rotation between day and night shifts.
