Job Opportunity – Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse – Ohio

Start Date: October 5, 2026

Location: Columbus, Ohio

Schedule: Night shift, 36 hours per week, 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio. Some weekend shifts required (3 per contract). Float coverage required within the organization.

• Comprehensive interdisciplinary team support including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
• 13-week assignment with opportunity to work in a major academic medical environment

Requirements:

• Active RN license (Compact or Ohio state license required at time of submission)
• Minimum 1 year of progressive care, stepdown, IMC, or DOU experience
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Epic charting experience required
• Telemetry monitoring and interpretation experience required
• Skills in dysrhythmia management, IV therapy, central line care, blood product administration, and cardiac drip management (titration experience preferred)
• Education from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
• Two professional references required (at least one from a manager, director, or formal supervisor)
• Completion of Ohio fingerprinting process required immediately upon contract signing
• Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only)
