Job Opportunity – Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse – Ohio
Start Date: October 5, 2026
Location: Columbus, Ohio
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: Night shift, 36 hours per week; weekdays with occasional weekends and rotating holidays
Highlights:
Specialized abdominal transplant unit caring for kidney, liver, and pancreas transplant patients
Patient diagnoses include transplant recovery, rejection monitoring, infections, acute kidney injury, hepatology, and GI bleed
Epic charting system experience required
First-time travelers welcome; minimum 1 year of experience required
Float requirements within the health system as needed
Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including PT, respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and social services
Requirements:
Active RN license (compact or Ohio state license required at time of submission)
Current BLS and ACLS certifications
Minimum 1 year of PCU, stepdown, or telemetry experience
Proficiency with Epic EMR system
Skills in telemetry monitoring, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, IV therapy, central line and PICC line management, accessing/managing ports, and IV insulin protocols
Nursing education from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
Two professional references required (at least one from a manager, director, or formal supervisor)
Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only)
